The new version of Firefox 3.5 will be available soon

The release of the Release Candidate version of Firefox 3.5 is scheduled for the first week of June If all goes well, the final version could be available early in the summer.

Mozilla seems to be on track to meet its objectives as the foundation had planned to launch the first version Release Candidate (RC) of Firefox before the end of June.

In a statement released on the Internet, Mike Beltzner, director of Firefox, welcomes the progress of operations. He announced that the code will be frozen on 20 May so that the latest bug fixes are made available on the next day. Clearly, the last stage of development approaching and the internal tests can be done by the end of the month.

He therefore hoped that the RC version will be available "during the first week of June", pointing to a possible arrival of the final version by early summer.

"We will do everything to ensure that the RC1 is as perfect as possible. But in previous versions, we had up to three RC versions before they are ready," said Mike Beltzner, however.
